From watching or attending our previous webinars, we hope you’ve been wondering, “How can *I* give a webinar?!” Part of the mission of WSBN is for our members to help each other grow their businesses, share what they do, and get to know each other—to connect and collaborate. All these purposes can be accomplished if YOU give a webinar! In addition, you can use your webinar to promote your business to your other networks, clients, and colleagues, and we even have options to take this concept to the next level.
TIP: Every webinar should be an introduction to your work that ends with an offer of how your listeners can take the next step or get more information, whether it’s a class, a discovery session, a package, or a product!

Why should I do a webinar?
There are so many reasons to do a webinar!
- Putting it together will help you craft an offer that will sell products or services for you.
- Delivering it will make you more comfortable speaking.
- Completing it will give you a product you can sell or use to promote your business.
- All this will help you GROW YOUR BUSINESS!
Part of creating your webinar is to include an offer that will bring people into your practice or classes or programs. (However, remember that the webinar is NOT a sales pitch! It should provide valuable information for your target market.)
This or future webinars can also result in products you can sell or use as a free gift when people opt in to your website or mailing list.
What can I talk about?
We have two regularly scheduled webinars each week, and can accommodate additional dates/times (just ask!):

These webinars are topics of general interest, not necessarily about business; we’ve had ones on how to write a book, about nutrition and energy work, and even one on how to do a webinar! - Marketing Mastermind & Business Skills for the Busy Woman (and curious men!)
Thursdays: 5:30 p.m. Eastern /4:30 p.m. Central/3:30 p.m. Mountain/2:30 p.m. Pacific
These webinars are more relevant to business; they cover marketing and technology topics. Again, we can have a broad range of topics here as well.
How do I prepare for my webinar?
Each webinar is one hour plus about 15 minutes for introductions and questions. You can make your webinar interactive or present it more like a lecture with time for questions at the end. Be sure to include a slide with your contact information and if you want to make an offer to participants for a special you are running in your business, you are welcome to do so. Please don’t make the whole webinar a sales pitch. Instead, plan to give a lot of valuable and interesting content that leads up to your offer and makes people want to work with you.
To make the best use of the “web” part of the webinar, prepare a PowerPoint presentation. This can be as complicated or as simple as you want. A webinar is kind of like going to the ballet—it’s a concert with something to watch!
You will sit in the comfort of your own home, in front of your computer, either on the phone or using a microphone connected to your computer. We don’t need your slides—you’ll be running the show. A WSBN representative will monitor the guests, introduce you, act as host, and take care of the recording.
We ask you to call in about 15 minutes before the start of the webinar to make sure everything is working okay.
How will people find out about the webinar?
The WSBN will promote your webinar to all 600+ members of the network, as well as on Facebook and Twitter. We encourage you to invite everyone you want to join in. We’ll provide you with the GoToWebinar registration information. Anyone who wants to view the webinar will need to register. Participants can watch and listen on the web, or watch on the web and call in, or just call in. There is no cost to participants beyond the cost (if any) of a long-distance call.
How much does it cost to do a webinar?
It depends on your membership level in WSBN. As a Featured Member of the Women’s Small Business Network, you have the privilege of giving one webinar each year as part of your membership at no additional cost. If you are a free member or a non-member, the cost is only $149. Either way, WSBN will:
- Promote your webinar on WSBN, Facebook, and Twitter
- Host your webinar, and introduce you
- Record and edit your webinar
- Post your webinar on the Women’s Small Business Network
I don’t have a clue as to how to go about preparing to do a webinar!
No problem. WSBN can provide you with a coach who can show you how to use PowerPoint, help you craft your offer, and how to structure your presentation to maximize participation by your audience. The cost is only $125/hour for Featured Members and $145/hour for others.
What if I want to make my webinar available to my clients or prospects?
Your clients and prospects are welcome to view the webinar on our website. If you’d like to give them a DVD or CD (audio only), you are welcome to order more copies. Here are some options:
Webinar Upgrade Package
- DVD Master Copy of your webinar
- CD Master Copy of the audio of your webinar
- Email addresses of all attendees
The cost of the Basic Upgrade Package is $125 for Featured Members; $150 for all others
Additional Services
- Coaching on how to do a webinar, how to use PowerPoint, or how to structure your webinar to include your offer and get people to sign up for your services.
- Copies of the DVD or CD with graphically designed labels
- Transcription of your webinar
- Editing and/or reformatting your transcription into an eBook
- Packaging options (for example, CD, DVD, and transcript in a binder with artwork)
- Setting up a shopping cart item to allow your customers to buy copies of your webinar
- Editing of webinar into 10-minute segments you can post on YouTube
- Increasing web traffic using segments of your webinar and Traffic Geyser
- Lead generation (opt-in) pages to capture email addresses to add to your database

What do I do next?
To schedule your webinar, please complete the Order Form at the end of this letter and send it to stephanie@wsbiznetwork.com. We will need the following information:
- Your first, second, and third choice of dates (available dates are shown on the calendar, but are subject to change)
- Your name, title, email address, and phone number the way you want them listed (we won’t list your phone, but it makes it easy to contact you with questions). Include the same information for additional presenters, if any.
- Catchy title and subtitle for your webinar
- Enticing description (2-4 paragraphs) about what information or transformation your audience will receive
- 3-4 bullet points that summarize what attendees will learn
- 2-3 paragraphs on why you are an expert and a link to your website
- ATTACH your Photo. It makes our life easier if it is sized to 100 X 100 pixels
